Restoring Life Project
In 2015, while in high school, I was granted to initiate a community project called "Restoring Life" that aimed to address the litter issue in East Boston and Revere Beach. The lack of community care, convenient trash disposal, and inadequate enforcement of consequences contributed to the problem. To address this issue, I proposed the creation and distribution of artistic signs that would depict information about endangered species in the area, particularly the piping plover and tortoises on the beach. The signs were designed to be multilingual to accommodate the diverse population in East Boston and surrounding areas. With the help of the Boston Natural Areas Network, we were able to distribute the signs to raise awareness and promote social responsibility. The project was made possible through the support of Boston Arts Academy.
